Faker Ahmed FCA, MCHRD qualified as a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh in 2009. He has vast experience in auditing various national and multinational companies. Faker Ahmed FCA has More than 13 years in the field of Finance, Accounts, Company Affairs,Taxation & Value Added Tax (VAT) in 3 Group of Manufacturing Companies, One Insurance Company and a large Infrastructure Development Group of Company in Bangladesh. He served Toma Group for 2 years as General Manager (Finance & Accounts) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for 2.5 Years. He served Medlar Group as Deputy Controller of Finance& Accounts for 5 years. He also worked Urmi Group of Companies as Financial Controller (GFC) for 2 years . He spent one year in Ha-Meem Group as Acting General Manager (FAD) and worked in Asia Insurance Limited.

Riad is a finance and business development professional with a proven track record in establishing SBUs and implementing projects. He is a professional accountant with more than 14 years of experience. Riad has held senior positions at several large companies, giving him the depth of experience needed to lead large teams. He is passionate about helping businesses reach their financial goals while staying compliant with regulatory requirements.

He’s currently working as MD & CEO at Padma Bank Securities Ltd. and Audit Committee Chairman at Strategic Finance & Investments Ltd. (a licensed non-banking financial institution). Previously, Riad worked at Unilever, DFK Bangladesh, UNDP, and UHY Bangladesh in various roles.

He’s a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA), and a Certified Information Systems Auditor of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (CISA). He completed Bsc Honours in applied accounting (1st class) from Oxford Brookes University (UK). He is also actively engaged in continuous learning programs organized by Harvard University (Kennedy School of Government), ACCA, ISACA, ICAEW, Canadian University, SMAC HRS, CPABC, and Intuit to mention a few.

Riad is also actively involved in social and benevolent projects and worked closely with the Financial Reporting Council (Member, FSSWG), Centre for Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development (Treasurer), Canadian University of Bangladesh (Finance Director), Ethical Accountants Society (Vice President), The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Member, Standing Committee on Capital Market and Bond) and ISACA Dhaka Chapter (Treasurer). He is also a strong advocate for corporate social responsibility and has been instrumental in developing a number of initiatives to benefit the community.

Riad has won several awards including the Best performers award by Strategic Holdings (2021), ACCA Member Advocacy Award (2021), ACCA Award for Delivering Exceptional Public Value in Bangladesh (2019), ranked among the top 20% scorers in the world for CISA exams (2016), and the Highest mark in Bangladesh for ACCA Papers: F7 Financial Reporting, P2 Corporate Reporting and P3 Business Analysis (2011).
